"The team are also committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of all those who use our services. Children have the right to be safe and happy in their activities and all sport and play activities for children offered by the team meet national standards of good practice in child protection. In short this means that:

All staff and volunteers must have:

  • Relevant skills and experience to work with children
  • Two references confirming their suitability to work with children
  • An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau clearance
All staff and volunteers are required to attend the following training:
  • Emergency first aid
  • Child protection
  • Diversity

All staff and volunteers are also required to comply with our published standard of ethics and conduct.

Child protection

We are currently reviewing our full child protection policy and this will be available on the website as soon as it is complete.
