Strategies and plans

We have a number of strategies and plans. These explain the ongoing direction of the team and outlines plans to improve sport and play opportunities in North Lincolnshire. These strategies have been put together in partnership with a large number of local groups and organisations.

Active Choices Active Future – this sport and active recreation strategy is for all of North Lincolnshire and provides guidance on how participation in sport and active recreation will be increased.

PlayAlert – this play strategy provides guidance on improving the quantity and quality of play opportunities across North Lincolnshire.

Neighbourhood Plans Through consultation with residents and partners we have produced five neighbourhood plans for North Lincolnshire. The plans show projects chosen at the consultations to encourage more people to become more active in each area.  Please have a look at them to find out what is going to be happening in your area, if you have any questions or would like to be involved please contact us by ringing 01724 297270 or email community.recreation@northlincs.gov.uk.

Safeguarding and Protecting Children - Taking part in sport and play and being active is an essential part of a child’s health and development. That’s why we want to create and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all children who take part in sport or play activities provided by North Lincolnshire Council Leisure Services.
