Sources of funding for leisure
Finding funding for community projects can be challenging, as there is literally a maze of potential opportunities, depending on your project. The best chances of securing funding are for smaller projects developing new facilities or services. Major capital funding to North Lincolnshire is more limited for leisure.
Community funding and grants
North Lincolnshire has a strong and active voluntary and community sector, which we are committed to supporting. We recognise and appreciate the diversity of this sector, and the contribution it makes to the area. And we acknowledge the crucial role to the voluntary and community sectors in the delivery of modern public services.

Grant Aid Funding
North Lincolnshire council uses the Grantnet funding search system. Organisations can use this facility to find out what community funding may be available. Grantnet holds information about potential community funding sources. The system is free to use and allows voluntary and community organisations to identify funding that may be available for specific projects.
How it works
All you need to do is register your organisation on the Grantnet website. You will then receive an email containing a password that will give you access to Grantnet. Once you are in the system you will be asked to answer questions about your organisation and the specific project you want to find funding for. You will then get a brief overview of the grant schemes that could apply to your project.
Grantnet will email the information you give to us. We will then be able to provide you with:
More detailed information on the appropriate grant schemes
Guidance to help move your project forward.
A Grantnet userguide is available to download.

If you do not have access to the internet, your local library has internet access free for the first 30 minutes. Please click here for further libraries information.
Please note:
The Grantnet database holds details of thousands of schemes. Many of these schemes change each month and new schemes are constantly being introduced. Information on small funding schemes that are quickly exhausted are not generally included on Grantnet.
